Black Desert Online

I'm super hyped for Black Desert. It's a Korean MMO that is coming out next year. The NA alpha is starting tonight, but it's difficult to get a key. Hopefully they'll go into beta cycle before the end of the year.

I'll check out the vids, could be interesting. My appetite for non-WoW MMOs is pretty light, but I always hope that they serve to make WoW better.

sandbox style mmo, heavily focused on pvp objectives / guild controlled areas (setting taxes, stuff like that). it's very pretty, and the housing system is amazing - but aside from that I'm not sure if there's much endgame PvE content - outside of world bosses - that'll keep people around in the long run. great game if you enjoy pvp though

Watched my brother play a lot last week, looks really nice but from what I could tell it is very time consuming and lots of complicated details. Was not enough to sway me over but he really likes it.
